Prayer and other spiritual practices are an important aspect of the healing process, supported upon request by Stamford Hospital chaplains for all belief systems. Many people find faith vital to their everyday experience and even more so during times of illness or crisis. The need for pastoral and spiritual guidance and understanding often grows during a hospital stay. Pastoral care can help soothe anxiety about being hospitalized or facing surgery, as well as in understanding your emotions and finding strength for recovery.
