Bradycardia

A slower-than-normal heart rate is called bradycardia. What's "too slow" depends upon a person's age and physical activity.

What are the symptoms of bradycardia?

A slow heart rhythm can cause fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting or near-fainting spells.

How is bradycardia treated?

The symptoms of bradycardia are easily treatable with implantation of an electronic pacemaker under the skin to speed up the heart rhythm as needed.
