Prevention and Wellness
At Stamford Hospital, our Heart Health program is based on the principles of preventive cardiology - meaning, we'd rather prevent heart disease than cure it. Our commitment to the community includes regular programs focused on health and wellness, educating people about heart disease prevention, screening and treatment, and making sure everyone, regardless of resources, has the opportunity to achieve optimal health.
Community Health Calendar

Each month, Stamford Hospital's Heart & Vascular Institute sponsors a variety of health and wellness programs for the purpose of education on healthy living and prevention of heart and vascular disease. We conduct smoking cessations programs and coordinate support groups and educational events for people with heart disease. Our goal is to encourage residents of our area to take control of their health and also to introduce the community to the expert physicians on our staff. Also we sponsor events, screenings, and health education opportunities in the community at large, as well as in Darien, New Canaan, and Wilton. See our calendar of events » Go
